Fire-retardant pallets
Fire-retardant pallets are designed for applications where fire safety is a more important requirement than in standard warehouse handling. They can be considered for storage areas with stricter safety expectations, chemical environments, logistics operations or other facilities where reducing fire-related risk is a priority.
Fire-retardant plastic pallets are made flame-retardant by adding special additives and, depending on the grade, can be supplied in line with UL 94 classifications.
- V-0 – burning stops within 10 seconds after flame application and no flaming drips are permitted
- V-1 – burning stops within 30 seconds after flame application and no flaming drips are permitted
- V-2 – burning stops within 30 seconds after flame application and flaming drips may occur
They help improve load protection in the event of an accidental fire, support a safer storage environment and may also be relevant in insurance and risk-assessment discussions.
